There was something about August of 2020 where everyone decided they still wanted to get married. I think everyone postponed & then the couples realized Covid might not be going anywhere & we can only postpone our love for so long right? I support that 100% - love & celebrate as much as you can, while you still can.
I had actually heard from this couple a few months prior to August, but their plans had to keep changing so I assumed they cancelled or postponed! I didn't think much of it, but I got a call saying their photographer backed out last minute & they were still planning to elope in Seward. I felt all the feelings for them! Still committing to a long drive & their wedding day, I quickly rearranged my schedule to shoot them for a couple hours because we can't plan everything right!? And I still think everyone deserves photos they love on their wedding day.
These guys got married in the middle of the forrest with a few of their closest family members & broadcasted it live so Grandma got to tune in. They also came during Seward Salmon Derby weekend so the beach & getting to this spot was a little challenging. But once we all got to the ceremony location everything went calm: the lighting was spot on, the vows were perfect and it seemed we were the only souls nestled into the woods.
It was such a quick wedding, but that didn't take away from it's beauty or their affection. Jared & Jenny were clearly so in love with the moment and each other & I'm happy to have seen it, even for a short time. Thank you for letting me be apart of your day! Next time we'll spend more time together & I can't wait.
